Twilight
I watch the moon illuminate as it rises over the purple moor
The fireflies dance in the warmth of the summer as I walk through my back door
See my family, my friends, and a campfire between us as the sun is setting tonight
The orange blaze from the sunlight sets fire to the moon and paints a picture in the sky
What I’d do to hold one on to this moment and take it where ever I go
But sometimes the cold comes and people shut down with the gentle fall of the snow
But today, it is summer, there’s no snow in sight;it cannot ruin the day
The sun is setting yet keeping us warm with every word that we say
When the twilight approaches, you know where I’ll be and the people whom I’ll be with
With the gentle sound of guitars and fireflies, I’ll treat the night like a gift
